SCREEN PRINTING
Screen printing is the most common method of decorating bottles. It provides a heavy, even
print by forcing ink through a screen. This method is especially economical for one color
decoration and small production runs. Since each color is applied in a separate pass, a
label with 2 colors is applied in 2 passes and is twice as costly as a single pass.
THERIMAGE HEAT TRANSFER
The therimage heat transfer process is highly uniform and allows the use of multicolored
designs at relatively low cost. The therimage process involves preprinted labels that are
fused to the containers with heat to form a permanetly adhered label. Ideal method for
multicolor and very long runs.
HOT DIE STAMPING
Hot die stamping involves roll-fed hot stamping foils to a plastic part by using heat,
pressure, silicone rubber, and/or metal dies that apply the image to the surface being
decorated.
PAD PRINTING
The pad printing system allows coverage on surfaces and contours that previously were
impossible to decorate by transferring the image off a plate or die onto a pad and then
applied to the surface.
